CHEMICAL-FREE HEAD LICE TREATMENT DEVICE

The LICETEC® V-COMB® is an allergen- and chemical-free treatment which eliminates head lice and eggs with the ease of combing the hair. This hygienic and mess-free electric device is able to detect and prevent head lice infestations while providing immediate visible results. With the help of suction power, the head lice and eggs that are combed out of the head are sucked into the capture filter housed within the V-Comb®, easily seen through the transparent capture filter chamber. After treatment, the capture filter is removed from the unit and sealed with a lid for hygienic disposal.

Why Choose V-Comb?

ELIMINATES HEAD LICE & EGGS

ELIMINATES HEAD LICE & EGGS

Combing is still the recommended and most effective way of treating infestations. The V-Comb® takes this a step further by using suction power to extract both head lice and eggs into disposable capture filters.

ALLERGEN- & CHEMICAL-FREE

Chemical- and alcohol-based anti-lice treatments are often too harsh and unpleasant for children. The V-Comb® is completely safe and suitable for the sensitive scalp.
DETECTS & PREVENTS INFESTATIONS

DETECTS & PREVENTS INFESTATIONS

The V-Comb® can be used as many times as necessary, with its easily replaceable filters, which makes the device ideal for detecting head lice so further infestations are prevented.

HYGIENIC & MESS-FREE

The V-Comb® comes with a capture filter which traps extracted head lice and eggs during and after treatment. Each filter comes with a lid to prevent re-infestations in and around the home.

AS EASY AS COMBING

The V-Comb® unit is easy to use and provides immediate feedback and visible results as the user combs through the hair with its  transparent LED-illuminated compartment.

HIGH QUALITY DESIGN

For its superiority in design, performance, and innovation, the V-Comb® was awarded a Good Design Selection. It has also met all necessary standards as monitored by multiple regulatory bodies.

HOW IT WORKS

Proven to eliminate both head lice and eggs

The Licetec V-Comb is a revolutionary device that incorporates both a combing and vacuum function to effectively eliminate traces of head lice and eggs from all hair types without creating a mess.
Simply attach a new capture filter unto the V-Comb combing head, ensuring that it is securely fastened.

Reattach the combing head unto the main body by aligning the guiding arrows and twist to lock into place.

After treatment is complete, simply detach Capture Filter from the V-Comb and secure the lid to seal off trapped head lice and eggs before discarding.

There’s no more guessing if your head lice treatment has worked because it’s all in the filter!

HOW TRADITIONAL TREATMENTS STACK UP AGAINST V-COMB

Check out our informative product analysis chart below to see the reality behind the treatment

Treatment

Claims

What the treatment really does

Chemical Based Creams/Lotions/Shampoos

Kills head lice and eggs

Product usually needs to be left in hair for an extended period

Growing reports that head lice have developed a growing resistance against chemicals commonly found in these treatments

Some chemicals that are commonly found in these treatments (e.g. Lindane, Malathion) have been linked to illnesses such as childhood leukemia

Chemicals may contain an unpleasant smell that could be undesirable for both child and parent

Eggs may remain untreated as some chemical treatments are unable to penetrate through the shell

Reapplication is often required after a two week period

Mechanical removal of lice and eggs is often required after treatment- could lead to redistribution of lice and eggs or being left behind in the hair

Naturally Formulated Creams/Lotions Shampoos

Kills head lice and eggs

Product usually needs to be left in hair for an extended period

Little to no clinical trials have proven their efficacy

Eggs can remain untreated as the shell is often difficult to penetrate

Reapplication is often required after a two week period

Mechanical removal of lice and eggs is often required after treatment- could lead to redistribution of lice and eggs or being left behind in the hair

Traditional Home Remedies

Suffocate or immobilize head lice

Product usually needs to be left in hair for an extended period

Little to no clinical trials have proven their efficacy

Mechanical removal of lice and eggs is often required after treatment- could lead to redistribution of lice and eggs or being left behind in the hair

Some treatments may be dangerous, unfounded and difficult to remove from hair (e.g. kerosene, mayonnaise, vinegar)

Does not treat head lice infestations

Head lice might be resistant to some of the chemicals found in the spray

Mechanical Combs

Combs only remove mono-directionally- head lice and eggs found on the underside of the hair may get left behind

Removed lice and eggs often remain on the teeth of comb which often leads to redistribution rather than removal

Electronic Combs

Release an electronic pulse to electrocute the head lice

Can be a time consuming process

Only kills lice upon contact, does not kill eggs

Electronic pulse can be discharged onto patient’s skin especially if moist, leading to discomfort experienced during treatment
